Bal Harbour Expands Museum Access Program

Following Bal Harbour’s successful public arts program “Unscripted” and its continued dedication to supporting the arts, Bal Harbour has announced the expansion of its cultural offerings for residents and visitors.  The “Museum Access” program that launched in Fall 2013 provides free admission to four of the area's top museums:  The Wolfsonian Museum, Bass Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the new Pérez Art Museum (PAMM) that opened in December in downtown Miami's Museum Park, showcasing a cutting-edge building designed by celebrated Swiss designers Herzog and de Meuron.  As an extension of this program, Bal Harbour now provides free access to the most celebrated private collections in South Florida: the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO), the Rubell Family Collection, the de la Cruz Collection and the Margulies Collection at the Warehouse.

In fall 2012, Bal Harbour launched its first “Unscripted” public art program, providing South Florida artists with a platform to pursue their creativity. In addition to commissioning artists, Bal Harbour also hosts the popular Unscripted Art Chats throughout the year, connecting visitors and residents with some of the biggest names in the art world.
