Experience the best of Miami Art Week with leading galleries by masters of modern and contemporary art, as well as a new age of emerging stars.
In addition to year-round access to South Florida’s top cultural institutions, Bal Harbour residents and guests receive complimentary access to a selection of top art fairs and events from December 1 through December 8, 2024.
Our partners this year include Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), Jewish Museum of Florida, YoungArts Campus, and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). Pre-registration is required to access these events and tickets are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration details are detailed on each event.
As an avid supporter of the arts, Bal Harbour Village has become synonymous with curated art activations and exclusive access to arts and culture in South Florida. Following the success of last year’s Miami Art Week installation, “The Power of Words” by Tania EA, we are proud to announce two special installations for 2024. The first, “Dreaming in Color”, with Andreina Ron Pedrique, will open on December 1 at the 102 Street Beach Access path. This temporary exhibit invites you to step away from life’s everyday worries and immerse yourself in a dream of colors. The second exhibit, “The Art of Letters: Journey into Being”, with Igal Fedida, will explore the complex and universal human pursuit of spiritual truth. This temporary installation will be hosted at the Bal Harbour Waterfront Park, opening December 2. Additional details are available below.

ART FAIRS ACCESS
ART Miami Fair, Single Day Admission, December 3 – 8
One Herald Plaza (NE 14 Street and Biscayne Bay) – As Miami’s original and longest running contemporary art fair and second most attended fair globally, Art Miami is consistently recognized as a leading destination for the acquisition of the most important works from the 20th and 21st centuries in collaboration with the world’s most respected galleries.
New Art Dealers Alliance – NADA Miami, Single Day Admission, December 3 – 7
Ice Palace Studios (1400 North Miami Avenue) – Miami 2024 will showcase a diverse selection of over 150 galleries, art spaces, and nonprofit organizations spanning 37 countries and 66 cities including Buenos Aires, Shanghai, Lagos, Honolulu, Caracas, and Pittsburgh. The fair will also feature the return of Curated Spotlight, a special section highlighting a selection of galleries organized by a renowned curator and presented in partnership with TD Bank.

801 Ocean Drive – With over 90 art shows spanning more than 20 years, SCOPE Art Show is the premier showcase and incubator for contemporary art, convening the most dynamic emerging galleries and artists from around the world. As the highest attended fair during Miami Art Week, SCOPE Art Show is a welcoming hub for every kind of art and culture seeker, from the established collector to the first-time fair visitor.
UNTITLED ART Miami Beach – Single Day Admission, December 4 – 7
Ocean Drive and 12 Street – Founded in 2012, Untitled Art is a leading contemporary art fair taking place annually on the sands of Miami Beach. Guided by a mission to support the wider art ecosystem, Untitled Art offers an inclusive platform for discovering contemporary art that prioritizes collaboration within each aspect of the fair.
BAL HARBOUR INSTALLATIONS
Dreaming In Color – Andreina Ron Pedrique, Opening Reception December 1, 4 – 6 PM
Join us as we bring Miami Art Week to Bal Harbour. This original exhibit, which will be located along the Beach Access path south of Oceana, is a temporary installation from local resident, and professional artist, Andreina Ron Pedrique. This unique experience will transform the space into a garden of dreams and colors, where the community can come together, reflect, and immerse themselves in positivity and joy through art. The exhibit will be on display from December 2 – December 15, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily.
The Art of Letters: Journey Into Being – Igal Fedida, Opening Reception December 2, 4 – 6 PM
Bal Harbour Waterfront Park (18 Bal Bay Drive) – The second installation will be with renowned contemporary artist, Igal Fedida. The exhibit, entitled “The Art of Letters: Journey Into Being” will showcase various original pieces, incorporating construction materials, such as woods, metals, and unconventional paints, to represent the complex and universal human pursuit of spiritual truth. The exhibit will be on display December 3 – December 12, from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Scholl Lecture Series: Jerry Gogosian (Hilde Lynn Helphenstein) x Jerry Saltz x Natalia Zuluaga – December 2, 3 PM
Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) – Kick off your Miami Art Week with a panel exploring performance as art criticism featuring art world Instagram icon Jerry Gogosian (Hilde Lynn Helphenstein) and Senior Art Critic for New York Magazine, Jerry Saltz, moderated by Miami-based writer, editor, and curator Natalia Zuluaga. This conversation aims to explore the function of art criticism in the digital age and how online culture and tools alter the performance of art criticism. The panel will discuss how internet discourse matches up with what everyone will be looking at at art fairs throughout the week.
VIP Reception at MOCA – December 3, 6:30 – 10:30 PM
Museum of Contemporary Art NoMi (770 NE 125 Street) – This lively reception will celebrate the MOCA’s fall exhibitions, to include: Andrea Chung: “Between Too Late and Too Early”, featuring works across multiple mediums investigating the colonial as it relates to motherhood, Blackness, the impact of trauma and the imagination; Smita Sen: “Embodied”, which explores the artist’s use of her dance-based performances incorporated into her sculptures and drawings; and Nicole Salcedo: “Earth Gate”, as part of MOCA’s Art on The Plaza series, featuring an anthropomorphic gate, intricately carved to represent a face, which is the artist’s interpretation of the spirit of nature. A special performance with exhibiting artist Smita Sen, accompanied by violinist Trina Basu, will take place at 8:30 p.m.
YoungArts Fall Residency VIP Tour & Breakfast – December 5, 9 – 11 AM
YoungArts Campus (2100 Biscayne Boulevard) – Four South Florida-based artists open their studios to the public for Miami Art Week as part of the Gallery Residency program. Selected by MoMA PS1 Director Connie Butler in collaboration with YoungArts, the practices of Nina Osoria Ahmadi (2019 Visual Arts & U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts), Priscilla Aleman (2009 Visual Arts & U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts), Dani Amaro (2016 Voice) and Alberto Checa (2017 Visual Arts), are broadly distinguished by an interest in the body and the ways it holds history and memory, positioning their active studios in conversation with Ralph Lemon’s Oculus Chorus (#1) and Otha Turner’s Final Picnic, simultaneously on view in the YoungArts Jewel Box.
Baker’s Brunch: Open Studios and Cafecito – December 5, 9 – 11 AM
Bakehouse Art Complex (561 NW 32 Street) – Enjoy breakfast treats and light refreshments as you walk through and explore the largest artist complex in Miami! The exhibition lineup includes Artists’ Spotlight: Commissions for Wynwood Works in the atrium; and Patricia Monclús: Pico Radial in the Swenson Gallery.
20th Annual Breakfast in the Park at Frost Art Museum FIU – December 8, 10 AM – 2 PM
Enjoy a light breakfast and engaging conversation at the 20th Annual Breakfast in the Park on Sunday, December 8, at the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum. This year’s event features Malawian artist Billie Zangewa, whose solo exhibition Field of Dreams is currently on view at the museum. Take the opportunity to hear Zangewa discuss her creative process and the themes behind her intricate silk collages while enjoying a relaxed morning in the company of fellow art enthusiasts.
Annual Open House at Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU – December 8, 10 AM – 12 PM
Jewish Museum of Florida FIU (301 Washington Avenue) – The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU is proud to once again participate in the Art Basel Miami Beach VIP Program and exhibit art created by talented Jewish artists. Join JMOF-FIU for its annual Art Basel Open House, celebrating the art and artists featured in the museum’s exhibitions. Enjoy complimentary refreshments and meet the artists behind the inspiring exhibitions on view at JMOF-FIU, including Built to Last: The Art of Steve Marcus; Step Into the Garden of the Finzi Continis; and The Story of Jews and Cannabis.
